Kim's Table

2018 Lenox Hill Spring Gala

“Make A Splash” was the theme of the 2018 Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Spring Gala, the annual fundraiser event that brings together the city’s top creative minds—and a splash we made!

Though not the literal kind with waves of water. Our interpretation of the design directive was more about creating a statement—a talking point. And our centerpiece was just that. We wanted to bring the outdoors in and to highlight the changing of the seasons with a lavish floral arrangement made from layers and layers of foliage, bright yellow Forsythia and Cymbidium Orchids by William NYC Flowers. It towered over our dinner guests and created a lush canopy, as though we were dining al fresco.

We topped the table with a custom tablecloth created from the art of a hand painted jacket from Kim’s travels. On it, our Jackson Placemats, constructed from white and gold marbled beads. We added a pop of Lilac with plates from Theoni Collection by Haviland. For glasses, we punched up the yellow tones from the flora through the warm reflections of our Crackle Glassware in Gold and Helix Flatware in Gold & Silver. We finished the table with our Quill Napkin Rings in Natural & Brown and Bazaar Napkins in Ivory & Natural. The result was dramatic and unexpected, and one that attracted many admirers.

We were happy to help other designers too with their enchanting tables by providing them with some of our favorite pieces from Kim Seybert. Among some of those who used our products were Kathy Abbott, Jenny Dina Kirschner of JDK Interiors, and Peti Lau—shown above from left to right.

It was a magical evening and a great way to welcome spring!
