There’s nothing like autumn in New York. Sun-filled days turn into crisp nights. Just as we change out our fall wardrobe, so too do we alter what we bring to the table.
One of the best ways to bring it all into focus: the Spotlight Placemat. It’s a standout in our new collection, but one that tends to be saved for more “sparkly” occasions—here a cozier approach to glamour.
Myriad colors make this placemat complex and unassuming. Look closely and vivid hues jump out—mimicked by our Malachite Flatware, Flare Napkin Ring in Gold & Emerald, Uzbek Ikat Napkin, and Crackle Goblet and Tumbler in Gold.
This table starts with a great foundation, Kim’s Italian Mid-century oval dining table. The design—slightly zig-zagged brass inlays—was too great to cover with a tablecloth. Building off the mats, Untitled Homeware’s rich hammered finish Murano glass plates, capitalize on the fall theme, while their transparency keeps focus on the glittering placemats below. The centerpiece is where things get kicked up a notch.
Pumpkins!—everyone’s favorite gourd. The New York Floral Market was the perfect source for dozens of them, in soft seasonal shades. Paired with delicate dahlias and vintage brass candlesticks of different heights, it’s a thoroughly modern composition that shines bright against a New York City skyline.
