Deep in the second half of August, we’re savoring every last bit of summer. Set against the lush backdrop of Kim’s garden, we set a blooming table that transports us to the English Countryside that is perfect for a last minute brunch.
For our tablecloth, we selected Peter Dunham’s Kashmir Paisley fabric. The traditional, ethnic pattern in White and Lilac established a subtle statement to the theme. With our tablecloth in place, the Stencil Placemat in Gray and Lilac lent a modern contrast against the classic ground.
With all of the pattern at the table, we opted for simple, white china. Juliska’s Berry and Thread Dinner Plates provided a rustic touch to this casually, elegant setting.
The Scallop Dot Napkin in Taupe with its delicate, feminine edge combined with the bloom-like Wood Constellation Napkin Ring in Lilac pulled the palette together to complete the look. To keep with the breezy look, we decided to limit our glassware and simply use our Crackle Tumbler in Platinum.
Mercury bud vases with posies of astible, raununculus, nigella and veronica spicata were staggered down the center of the table in shades of pink, white and lilac. Tip: Aim for an odd number of bud vases (3, 5 or 7) for a thoroughly impactful tablescape.
